Fuzion Vapor Shipping Catastrophe

First off let me say that lots of companies are packaging E-Liquid in the same method as Fuzion Vapor. The only reason that I am singling them out is because I have wanted to write about this problem for a long time and they were unlucky enough to be the vendor who’s items were damaged on the way to me. I receive shipments constantly and this is only the second time that I have received a package drenched in E-Liquid.

we careOk so Catastrophe is a bit dramatic…

I ordered a couple of selections from Fuzion Vapors Prime E-Liquids for a coming review and two bottles of Krankberry to keep the wife happy. I will get to that review at a later time but lets talk about the issue at hand. Today I received my order from Fuzion Vapor which contains 4x 30ml bottles. Unfortunately during handling by the USPS one of the bottles was decapitated which emptied the entire contents of the 30ml bottle of Krankberry both inside my package and presumably all over the floor of the postal services sorting center.

The USPS was kind enough to insert my package into a plastic bag with a note explaining that the item was damaged during handling. Honestly I am surprised that I received the shipment at all considering the fact that roughly 25ml of E-Liquid with nicotine is missing and must have contaminated not only the working environment for their employees but other customers packages. From what I can tell they didn’t even open my package in order to determine what spilled which is kind of concerning considering that there is nicotine in this E-Liquid.

Are we being responsible by shipping E-Liquid in soft packages that can easily be damaged in this way? If we don’t want regulators to come march into this industry applying crippling standards to the manufacturing and shipment of E-Liquid this needs to change. I do think we need some regulation but if we don’t want over-regulation then we need to start policing ourselves in order to give them less of an opportunity to point fingers at all of the bad things we are doing as an industry.

Some vendors ship in USPS flat rate boxes with the contents in a water tight ziplock bag and I feel like this is an appropriate amount of safeguard for E-Liquids. Not only does this prevent potential issues like the one that I have experienced it allows our industry to tout the safeguards that they put in place in order to protect the public.

I will contact Fuzion Vapor about this particular incident and report back with the results.

p.s. Strawberry in yo’ soul is amazing

Update:

We received a replacement Krankberry very quickly and with minimal hassle.

Sorry for issue with the bottle. If you open a ticket, or call us… We’ll replace it right away. To add to the conversation… It’s a tricky balancing act with shipping. Of course I’d love to put everything in boxes with bubblewrap, but from my experience; most customers are unwilling to pay the few extra dollars. However, I may try simply adding additional bubblewrap to each package to see if it cuts back on the damaged bottles. Thanks for your post! Have a great week!
